Facilitator Spotlight: SUSAN!

Every Friday, we introduce you to the people who help make our program possible. This week's featured facilitator has been with us for several semesters and brings a tremendous knowledge of Shakespeare and improvisation with her to class. We love learning from and working with....

Susan Sjodin!

Birthday: March 18th

When you’re not at ABLE, what’s your job?:  Teaching musical theatre, after-school

Tell us a bit about your performing and/or education background:  I continue to perform in Chicago and have studied improv at I.O. and The Second City Conservatory

Do you have a hidden talent? It's not hidden if I tell you...

Between Acting, Singing, and Dancing, what's your favorite way to perform?: Singing is my favorite!

Who is your favorite actor/performer? What do you like about him/her?:  Catherine Tate-love her versatility, commitment to physicalizing different characters, she finds the drama in comedy and the comedy in drama.

How Long Have You Been With ABLE? How did you start volunteering? I joined when we were still the Gigi's Drama program in 2013, after hearing about it from Lindsay Stock!

Favorite ABLE memory?: Seeing all of the different and awesome interpretations of Caliban from The Tempest - there were so many good ones!

What's Your Favorite Dance Party Song? Anything old-school, like Jackson 5.

Thank you, Susan, for your steadfast commitment to all of our actors!

We're going to take a little break from our Friday posts for the next few weeks. From all of us at A.B.L.E., have a beautiful holiday season and we look forward to introducing you to more of our team in 2016!
