Whether it's assisting at one of our events, joining our costume and prop committee, hosting a fundraiser, using your graphic design skills to create posters or marketing materials, or assisting in classes and workshops, there are a number of ways you can volunteer your talents to support A.B.L.E.!

Current positions

Volunteer Class Facilitators

The most popular way to volunteer is to join our team as a class Facilitator, assisting teaching artists and working side-by-side with our actors in classes and performances. Facilitators are an integral part of our ensemble, helping to ensure everyone has a safe, productive, and fun time! board Of Directors

We are currently recruiting members for our small and active board of directors. In accordance with organizational by-laws, board members should be willing to make a minimum 2 year commitment to helping A.B.L.E.’s development. We welcome applications from anyone with a passion for the arts and a belief in our central mission statement and are particularly seeking members with the following expertise:

  • Accounting/Bookeeping
  • Marketing
  • Fundraising/Development
  • Human Resources
  • Education
  • Disability Advocacy

 

Internships

We have a limited number of positions for interns available on a semester-by-semester basis. Our sessions run from September to December, February to May, and a shorter summer session from June-July. Interested interns would need to commit to the full term.

 

Design Team

We produce two stage shows each year, and can always use volunteers for our costume, prop, and set committees to bring these performances to life. 

 

Teaching Artists

We currently do not have vacancies for paid teaching artists. Those interested in working with us as teaching artist are strongly encouraged to serve at least one semester as a volunteer facilitator. 

 

Guest Artist Workshops 

Have a special performance skill like puppetry, dance, music, or clown? Consider working with one of A.B.L.E.'s teaching artists to host a one-time guest artist workshop for our ensemble.
