One of the best things about starting our adult ensemble has been the chance to welcome new actors to A.B.L.E. Today we’re introducing you to one of our newest ensemble members. He describes himself as “strong, independent, and a good actor”….meet Matthew!
WHEN DID YOU START WITH A.B.L.E.?:
I started this year at the Shakespeare workshop in the summer.
Have you done any performing before?:
I started Performing in high school where I was in bye-bye Birdie. I am a actor in JJ’s list the disability players and also Collaboraction in Chicago.
What do you like about coming to A.B.L.E.?:
The reason why I like coming to able is because I feel like I’m at home. Also that there are others that have the same disability. Also we are strong and powerful together.
Who is your favorite performer and why?:
My favorite actor is Zac Efron because he’s a great singer. My favorite thing about him was when he played the character of Troy in High School Musical. Something I want to do is to be the next Zac Efron because he’s a really good actor. I want to be on stage and perform like him. I’m committed as an actor to living and following my dreams.
What is your go-to dance party song?:
“Get Your Head in the Game” by Troy a.k.a. Zac Efron
What do you like to do other than acting?:
Favorite hobbies are acting, writing, sports, cooking, and hanging out with friends
